Dr. Hustad was born in Duluth, but lived in Canada and Puerto Rico as a child before moving back to Duluth. He graduated from East High School and is married to Lorraine, a kitchen designer at Floor to Ceiling. They have three children--Andrea, an anesthesiologist at St. Luke's Hospital; Bryce, a computer network specialist in Minneapolis, and Whitney, a dentist at Lake Superior Dental Associates. Dr. Hustad and his wife also have five grandchildren. In his free time, Dr. Hustad loves to fish and hunt with his dog, as well as enjoy his home and surroundings on Island Lake.
