Dr. Polzin soon purchased a dental office in Duluth and worked as a solo practitioner until 1985, when he joined Lake Superior Dental Associates.

Dr. Polzin enjoys dentistry because of the people he sees and gets to know over the years, as well as the opportunities to continuously learn new things. His interest in dentistry began in his father's dental laboratory, while he worked during high school. Since he has always enjoyed learning new things, working with his hands and helping others, dentistry was a perfect professional fit.

Dr. Polzin and his wife, Julie, have lived in Duluth since 1980 and thoroughly enjoy the area. They have two adult sons, Jeff and Matt. His favorite activities involve anything outdoors--particularly fishing, camping, hunting, skiing and biking.
